Now available directly on the Playdate Catalog!
Grid Glyphs is a nonogram-style puzzle game for the Playdate.
Set with a light theme of treasure hunting, it captures all the classic nonogram puzzle satisfaction on PlayDate.
Nonograms, also known as Hanjie, Paint by Numbers, Picross, Griddlers, and Pic-a-Pix, are picture logic puzzles in which cells in a grid must be colored or left blank according to numbers at the edges of the grid to reveal a hidden picture.
Puzzle Collections
- 5x5: 16 Puzzles
- 10x10: 56 Puzzles
- 15x15: 56 Puzzles
- 20x15: 48 Puzzles
That's a total of 176 Puzzles!
Rules
- In Grid Glyphs you create images from clues.

- Push A to fill squares.

- Pressing B will mark a square as Empty. Use this to track what you know should not be filled in.

- The Numbers in each row and column are hints. They tell you how many squares must be filled in.

- If you correctly fill in a set of squares, their corresponding number will also be filled in.

- If there is more than one number you must leave at least one empty space between each square.

- Incorrect placements have a time penalty. (You can turn this off in the options menu.)

- You should never have to guess. Puzzles can be worked out with logic.

This game should be Side Loaded onto the Playdate - View instructions here.

This is really good game and I enjoy for fun.
I would like to suggest two things.
1. Option to turn off a timer so that it can be played freely.
2. It would be nice to have a setting to zoom in when playing 15x15, 20x15.
Thanks for making a great game!!
Is this coming to Catalog?? Looks dope.
Yes! It’s been approved for the Playdate catalog and is in the queue. Thanks!
