Grid Glyphs

Grid Glyphs is a nonogram-style puzzle game for the Playdate.

Set with a light theme of treasure hunting, it captures all the classic nonogram puzzle satisfaction on PlayDate.

Nonograms, also known as Hanjie, Paint by Numbers, Picross, Griddlers, and Pic-a-Pix, are picture logic puzzles in which cells in a grid must be colored or left blank according to numbers at the edges of the grid to reveal a hidden picture.

Rules

• In Grid Glyphs you create images from clues.

• Push A to fill squares.

• Pressing B will mark a square as Empty.  Use this to track what you know should not be filled in.

• The Numbers in each row and column are hints.  They tell you how many squares must be filled in.

• If you correctly fill in a set of squares, their corresponding number will also be filled in.

• If there is more than one number you must leave at least one empty space between each square.

• Incorrect placements have a time penalty. (You can turn this off in the options menu.)

• You should never have to guess. Puzzles can be worked out with logic.
